We're taking this.....

And doing this.....

  • Swap front forks with Upside down forks, the same ones that come with the JS200Y-A
  • To pick up a little speed, we've put in a bigger carby and used the same carby that comes with the JS200Y-A
  • We've cut open the exhaust pipe and basically torn out whatever was in the middle
  • The rear shock has been modified to suit the type of riding Dan does

Harrison Racing is busy at work putting the factory element into the JS150Y-A. Once these mods have been truly tested, they'll be available as an option.

Race Action

The first race has come and gone. The 150 was run very standard, showed a good turn of top speed but suffered on the hole shots due to the wrong gearing. Harrison Racing has been working hard on this over the last few weeks. The engine has been stripped and checked over to ensure every thing is as it should be.
The 150 engine is an excellent engine based on the trust worthy Honda XL185 design, with 2005 technology, roller bearing cam and more.
The clutch action is also been looked at to ensure the clutch can be dumped at full revs.

So what's next? A new race pipe, with full mandrel bent, the ports have been cleaned and match to the pipe and inlet manifold, nothing over the top, just a good clean build. A good cam and we are set.
The wheels have been laced with alloy rims and will receive rim locks, we had a flat out of the gates in the last race, the tyre spun on the rim, this will not happen again.
