This project came about due to the need to give my eldest son a little more time before needing to step up to the JS125GY
I started out by giving the bike a rear end upgrade, the rear shock is out of a KX60. The swing arm for now is a quick rough job to get the basic design.
Approx 60mm longer than standard, it also has a adjustable top mount to easily set the rear end up for when I want to Mini Motard the bike. Easily carring my 95kg mass.
The front end is a KX60 Fork and Wheel, the steering tube need to be shorted close to 10mm to fit the standard frame. The end result is 220mm of travel front and back and
unbelievable handling compared to standard.
The engine has received a port and polish, nothing over the top, just a good clean up. I have also removed the oil pump and run premix at 32:1, the bike runs a lot crisper on premix. Next will be to replace the standard carb to a 17mm off the JS90PY.
I will also be building a new pipe for the bike, the standard pipe is really holding the bike back, I have ported the header tube, it really needs to be a lot bigger
to get the performance we are chasing. The goal is to really east the 125cc 4-stroke pit bikes. In theory it should be possible.
