OK, we've been playing because we just couldn't resist this little toy. It may be small in size, don't let that deceive you.
This project has now been sold and we will be starting on another project shortly, watch this space. |
We took this out of the box...
and have done this...
- Swap the air filter over for a foam pod filter
- Fitted a high flow inlet manifold
- Change the front wheel to 12"
- Changed the knobby tyres to slicks
- Replaced the frame with a 50mm longer Factory Bike frame
- Re-valved the rear shock to suit tarmac riding
- Changed the seat over to a tall seat
- Replace the handle bar grips and levers I broke when I fell off.
- Install a headlight
- Change the graphics
- Extend the frame

We've been riding on tarmac at a go-cart track. It was hard for anyone (young or old) to keep up.
Now, I am not a professional rider (and boy did I get the scars during our test ride to prove it),
but that didn't stop the desert from staying at the front of the pack.
Other riders turned up with their $3,000+ bikes (with almost the same $dollars in mods) and were disappointed
that they would have gotten more bang for their buck at half the price.
So we put our sponsored rider Dan on it to really rub salt in their wounds.
He did manage to stay at the front of the pack. Our bike has proven to be as good as, if not better,
than other pit bikes on the market.
If it's value for money you want, you really can't beat the Factory Bike Mini Dessert. And there's no sacrifice in performance compared to other brands.
